Welcome to Downtown/ Midtown
Bordered by the historic and established neighborhoods of
Back Bay,
Beacon Hill, and
Waterfront, Midtown-Downtown is considered to be the heart of Boston, and many companies and agencies have their headquarters there.
The Downtown area of Boston is comprised of a 34-block area between Tremont and Congress Streets and Court and Boylston Streets that includes Downtown Crossing, the Ladder District and parts of the Financial District and Theater Districts.
Midtown-Downtown covers the Boston Common (central park in Boston) and includes many of the most popular restaurants, shopping centers and office buildings along with Boston City Hall and the State House, located across from the Boston Common. The area is also home to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, both of which are historic marketplaces and two of Boston’s most famous tourist attractions.
